There are 12 houses and 4 elements in the horoscope one for each of the astrology signs. The houses have a special meaning as they take on a vibration of their own which you have to take into consideration when you read a horoscope. Each sign rules a particular house.
The Houses of the 3 astrology Fire signs occupy the 1st the 5th the 9th house.

When ever an astrologer does an astrology reading they organize all the astrological planets and star signs into groups of feminine and masculine signs, negative and positive signs and so on. Then they count how many of the 12 star signs and the 4 elements is in each group to see how balanced the person is as well as where their strength and weakness is.
